THE REQUIREMENT
‘SoCash’ a fin-tech startup, wanted us to turn around an Android app to be used by SME merchants for their cash deposit needs. The app had to be designed for ASEAN consumer marketplace. The product design focus had to be on establishing a consistent design structure that could accommodate a constant communication channel with the users to ease them into completing business deposit transactions on the app. The convenience of “banking at the doorstep”, “Ease of navigation” had to be brought into the core product user experience while putting together the product features.
THE THINKING
We put together a design system to accommodate the core business requirement of a constant communication channel with the user along with seamless authentication steps. We had to come up with a design fit that was able to provide rightful information to the user along the transaction journey without being overbearing. We had to carefully consider all aspects of user experience (UX) and interaction design in bringing this design to fore front.
This thinking becomes critical for a financial technology product especially when people trust their money with businesses.
THE PROCESS
Every client is unique to us and we have been able to setup some atomic design communication systems throughout the journey of the project. We have closely worked with SoCash team of Product managers, developers to closely understand the user realities for designing user journeys and thereby providing necessary handholding and a design system that the development team can use for the rest of the project lifecycle.
